FAMILY CONSTELLATIONS
In a constellation unsolved issues, tensions, conflicts and ill-fated relationships in a family become visible and appreciable. The origin of the problem can be clarified, and the problem itself often solved. The facilitator sometimes asks representatives to say words or sentences. Without judgment or guilt, a feeling of connection may arise. Representatives may want to change their position or are invited by the facilitator to do so. When the session comes to an end, this revised constellation, a living family tree, is offered to the client as a new image to be internalised instead of the old image.
For the client, changes in behavior in daily life occur without consciously doing anything.
In private/individual sessions the client chooses objects or dolls as representatives. This process can be seen as an expedition into the client’s family history.
